On behalf of the awesomely amazing family at the Antigravity Group, I am super delighted to welcome you to our highly exciting orbit. It is my deep conviction that you will find something in here that will, hopefully, strike some chord of resonance somewhere in your nerves.

It is scintillatingly interesting how we call ourselves the many-in-one company, despite our relatively small size right now; that is, the many-faced-conglomerate-yet-small company. Well, “small”, for now, I should add to properly nuance it. There is a bit of a personal backstory to it, which I would like to share in detail, if you don’t mind, before I very briefly give you a quiet sense of what our wall-to-wall, long-term, strategic intent truly revolves around.

So, the year was 2006. I had just graduated from the university where I had studied accounting. I was supremely confident and excitedly looking forward to becoming a chartered accountant and basking in the ocean of finance. But deep down within me, there was a part of me that just felt I was not innately wired to become one. Now, it would be good to clear this: I did not struggle in accounting. In fact, it was quite the opposite. The thing was, I had so many other passions at the time that I remember visiting a mentor of mine to seek his professional advice because I was at a crossroad of some sort. I had loved accounting; I truly did. But I had loved advertising, too; I had been writing advert scripts and jingles while in school. Then, there was creative writing or multi-media content; it ran deeply in my DNA. There was also motivational speaking, as well as a pure passion to impact lives positively among young people. And there was a knack deep down to frantically join the burgeoning technology wave at the time. I just felt there were loads of possible paths I could pivot towards. It was a tough decision, but I decided to go with accounting in end. Truth be told, you could be forgiven to think that I chose the easiest route in order to ensure I did not starve or struggle financially. Well, I would be the first to agree with you, quite frankly…

But like an undying fire, these other areas had “hunted” me for 15 years. There was always this part of me that felt I could do far much more. It made me positively restless; and quietly unsettled, too. I had always felt I had been on a journey, rather than at my destination. So, I decided in 2020 it was time to take a break and pivot fully to my passions. Then the opportunity came very early the following year. I had thought I had it seamlessly figured out when I decided to leave Shell later that year. Sadly, however, like a rather cruel, shadow-lurking, déjà vu, it seemed as though I had been wickedly teleported back to 2006. My list of passions was so long that I just could not settle for one or two things to pivot to. And I struggled with this dilemma of mine for months. So, one day, while seeing a series on Netflix during my long hibernation period, something subtle, yet immensely powerful happened. I had asked myself, “why not astutely shrink the passions into a few super buckets and synergistically hold them together with a common stack under a proper group structure?.” I decided to find a creative way to interconnectedly infuse all my passions in a way that their combined synergistic power could be best leveraged. And this was how Antigravity was born!

So, again, I am supremely delighted to have this veritable opportunity to introduce the Antigravity Group to you.
